Why did the customer contact us?
The customer contacted us for emergency basement water damage mitigation after a plumbing supply or fixture leak flooded the finished basement living area. Moisture migrated across the wall-to-wall carpeting and saturated the underlying foam underlay, pooling along the concrete slab perimeter, dampening baseboards, and threatening upholstered furniture.
Solutions provided:
We provided a comprehensive water extraction, selective carpet removal, and structural drying solution. Our technicians extracted standing water and precision-cut and removed saturated carpet sections and underlay from the affected perimeter to fully expose the damp concrete foundation. We moved and blocked furniture away from the wet zone to prevent secondary damage, pulled baseboards where needed, and applied an EPA-registered antimicrobial biocide to the concrete slab to inhibit mould growth. Finally, we staged commercial low-profile centrifugal air movers, axial fans, and high-capacity LGR dehumidifiers to establish targeted airflow and thoroughly dry the concrete subfloor and basement walls to dry standards.
