Why did the customer contact us?
The customer contacted us for emergency water damage mitigation and mould remediation after an ongoing moisture intrusion saturated the living area and adjacent bathroom. Chronic plumbing seepage and floor condensation had migrated beneath the glued-down flooring, causing adhesive delamination and concrete subfloor staining in the living room, while saturating the lower drywall, rotting the perimeter base plates, and driving severe mould colonization along the bathroom wall.
Solutions provided:
We provided a comprehensive water extraction, controlled demolition, antimicrobial treatment, and structural drying solution. Our technicians uplifted and disposed of the unsalvageable, water-damaged floor coverings and removed HVAC register vents to inspect the ducting. In the bathroom, we cut out and discarded the waterlogged, mould-contaminated lower drywall and rotted baseboard framing. We treated all exposed concrete slab surfaces, wall cavities, and timber studs with an EPA-registered antimicrobial biocide to neutralize microbial growth. Finally, we deployed commercial centrifugal air movers and high-capacity LGR dehumidifiers to thoroughly dry the subfloor and wall assemblies back to certified dry standards in preparation for put-back reconstruction.
