Job completed for Joe L

Completion date: April 1, 2024

Location: Beverly, NJ

Why did the customer contact us?

The customer contacted us for professional attic mould remediation after discovering extensive fungal growth spreading across the roof decking and timber trusses. Inadequate attic ventilation and chronic condensation buildup during seasonal temperature swings had created high relative humidity levels, leading to widespread surface mould colonization on the underside of the plywood roof sheathing.

Solutions provided:

We provided a comprehensive attic mould remediation, antimicrobial treatment, and surface encapsulation solution. Our technicians accessed the attic workspace wearing full personal protective equipment (PPE), including particulate respirators, eye protection, and protective suits. We established negative air pressure using commercial HEPA air scrubbers to capture agitated spores and exhaust clean air. Technicians HEPA-vacuumed the exposed roof decking and rafters to lift surface spores, followed by precision spraying of an EPA-registered antimicrobial biocide to neutralize fungal roots within the timber grain. Finally, we applied a protective mould-inhibiting encapsulant across the plywood sheathing and roof trusses to prevent future moisture-driven microbial recurrence.
