Completion date: May 18, 2024

Location: Columbus, NJ

Why did the customer contact us?

The customer contacted us for water damage mitigation and subfloor restoration after an ongoing moisture leak saturated the bedroom flooring. Water had seeped through the carpet fibers and degraded the underlying foam padding, causing dark discoloration, backing delamination, and persistent moisture pooling directly on the concrete subfloor alongside the bed.

Solutions provided:

We provided a comprehensive water extraction, carpet removal, and structural subfloor drying solution. Our technicians uplifted and discarded the unsalvageable, water-damaged carpeting and saturated padding to completely expose the affected concrete subfloor. We performed detailed moisture mapping across the bedroom floor plane to define the moisture perimeter and treated the stained concrete with an EPA-registered antimicrobial wash to prevent mold and bacterial growth. Finally, we deployed commercial centrifugal air movers and high-capacity LGR dehumidifiers to thoroughly dry the concrete slab to baseline dry standards in preparation for new flooring installation.
