Why did the customer contact us?

The homeowner contacted us after noticing water around the base of a toilet in their bathroom. Upon inspection, it appeared the toilet was not properly seated on its wax ring, allowing water to slowly leak each time the toilet was used.

Over time, the leak had spread beneath the toilet and into the surrounding subfloor. This type of hidden moisture can quickly damage flooring materials and create conditions for mold if not addressed promptly. The customer needed both the plumbing issue corrected and the moisture removed from the structure.

Solutions provided:

Our team began by carefully removing the toilet to fully assess the damage beneath it. Once exposed, we discovered moisture around the toilet flange and within the surrounding subfloor, confirming that water had been leaking for some time.

We performed targeted water extraction and structural drying to remove the trapped moisture and protect the subfloor from further deterioration. Professional drying equipment, including air movers and dehumidifiers, was installed to thoroughly dry the affected materials.

To ensure the issue was resolved permanently, we coordinated with a licensed plumber who replaced the damaged flange and properly reset the toilet with a new seal. Once the plumbing repair was complete, we continued drying the area to ensure the bathroom structure was fully restored and safe for use.
